Dear Toy Soldier and Civil War Enthusiasts,

It has been a while since we have visited.

I have great news to tell you. Several of you know that I have been investigating the idea of producing my own line of toy soldiers. Yes, they are coming! I have commissioned Chris Munro, a well known sculptor, to craft figures for me. Chris has sculpted for King and Country and for his own line of toy soldiers. He is a store owner of the Soldier Gallery in Cambria, Ca. We have been working together for about 6 months on the details. Now, finally he has 12 figure prototypes ready. They will be 1/30 scale and will match well with several companies. They will be sold in 1 and 2 piece sets. I hope to have them in production soon. If possible, I plan to have them for the Chicago Show, but if not I will be ready by Christmas.

For my first venture, I have picked the American Civil War, which most of you know is my favorite subject. The first topic with be “The Battle of the Round Top”. I know several companies have done them but my figures will put a new dimension to the battle. Besides having an exquisite hand painted figure, I will be keying into different personalities of the 20^th Maine and the 15^th Alabama, which have not been produced by others.

A friend asked me why I decided to pick the “Battle of The Little Round Top”. It is a battle of American against American, when a small group of 358 Union men of the 20^th Maine and 644 confederates of the 15^th Alabama faced off against each other. The fighting was hard on both sides in an effort to try and turn the tide of the Battle at Gettysburg; a small battle of large importance. It is not only one story of the Civil War but a story of what Americans both North and South are made of, “the right stuff”. This tells a short story of many in our history of our fighting men which carries through to the present. It truly demonstrates how we as Americans fight for what we believe in. I am proud to be an American and this why I chose to select the Battle of the Little Round top to begin my story of military miniatures.

Included in this letter are a couple of pictures. I will have prices soon and will send you an update once they are in production.
